I found this rounded clump of columbine while hiking Colorado's Continental Divide Trail in the Weminuche Wilderness. It was right next to a side trail that follows Elk Creek down to the Animas River. This is one of the thickest bouquets columbine that I've ever seen. Notice Elk Creek in the background.
