There are many wonderful side roads in the Routt National Forest near Steamboat Springs. I always check this one out in spring and fall when the aspens are leafing green and turning color respectively. This particular year the ferns had turned butterscotch in color at the same time some aspens were yellow while others remained green. Notice the yellows leaves decorating the road!
