0005 Paradise Divide/Winter Gunnison National Forest near Crested Butte
Paradise Divide lies on a very rough road over 11,000 feet high near the town of Crested Butte. It is remarkable for the ponds that sit on its crest, and for the views of the Ruby Range. This image was made in October after the first snow of the season, though it looks like the middle of winter. As the clouds began to clear, I snapped (albeit with the large format camera) this shot of the Ruby Range reflecting in the pond.
