I was driving through Summit County in a horrific spring snowstorm when the bad weather began to clear. I pulled off the road just as the snow stopped, but before too much of the direct sunlight hit the trees. The wind had snowblasted the lodgepole pines into sculptures of white. One minute later the intense mid-morning sun erased all detail from the scene. A classic case of being at the right place at the right time!
