| In December, I had driven a snowmobile with the NBC Nightly News film crew from the T-Lazy7 Ranch near Aspen up to Maroon Lake. They wanted to interview me about wilderness protection in Colorado at a very scenic location, so I chose this classic Colorado scene, but one rarely photographed in winter. As the sun rose, I began to notice the mist rising from the partially frozen lake, as well as the snow blowing off the top of the peaks. I told the film crew to forget the interview for a while in order to capture this unique moment on film! |
